Former WGAL News anchor Janelle Stelson has announced that she will seek the Democratic nomination for the 10th Congressional District and a rematch with Republican U.S. Rep, Scott Perry in the 2026 midterm election.

Stelson, a former Republican who switched parties prior to the 2024 election, narrowly lost to the seven-term Republican in the 2024 election, a race that was among the tightest in Perry’s tenure in Congress.

Shortly after the 2024 election, Stelson had said she was pondering running against Perry in the midterms.

Her campaign intends to focus on lowering the cost of living, protecting Medicare, Social Security and a woman’s right to choose and advocating for immigration reform to secure our borders.
