After tech billionaire Elon Musk made his biggest break yet from President Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act, calling the controversial legislation a “disgusting abomination,” one hard-right member of Congress readily agreed: Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA).
“So @elonmusk is right to call out House Leadership,” Perry posted to Musk’s X platform on Tuesday evening. “I wish I had a nickel for every time the @freedomcaucus sounded the alarm and nobody listened, only to find out the hard way we were right all along. We expect MASSIVE improvements from the Senate before it gets back to the House.”
In no time, however, Perry was drowned in mockery, with commenters on social media noting that not only did he cast a deciding vote for the bill to pass the House, but so did every other member of the House Freedom Caucus.
